Security footage denote to Facebook by Queensland Rail shows the cluster of women walking on a side track at the Chelmer station when the budgerigar parakeet flew faraway from the ladies and landed on the track.
One lady right away ran to alert a employee of the bird's presence and therefore the train was stopped as driver Shane little saved the pet bird.
"It flew faraway from me the first time however I managed to pick it up the second time and took it over to the ladies,".
Little added that pets are not meant to be taken on the train, however both he and also the Queensland Rail praised the ladies for acting quickly and not trying to go onto the tracks themselves.
"We commend the ladies for not flapping about and for following the suitable steps to remain off the tracks to soundly report the incident, that has meant we were able to safely stop trains for a brief time to save and collect the budgerigar," the station wrote this on Facebook. "The budgerigar has lived to tweet a sweet tale."
