A MUMMIFIED captain was found during a mystery boat drifting forty miles from the shore...still Sat within the seat where he's believed to have died.

The man, who seems to have been attempting to make a desperate distress {call} call, has been known as German adventurer manfred Fritz Bajorat.

He was found by 2 fishermen at the weekend within the seas off surigao del Sur province, about fifty miles off Philippines.

The gray dead body, that was preserved by dry ocean winds, hot temperatures and also the salty air, was still Sat at a table close to radio equipment on the 40ft yacht referred to as Sayo, that was partly submerged.

His rotten body was found by images and a haunting letter to his spouse, Claudia, who died from cancer in 2010.

It is not yet clear when he died, however nobody has rumored seeing him since 2009.

Local officers stay nonplused by the death and have yet to utterly rule out wickedness as a number of his personal things may have been "destroyed by force".

Two fishermen noticed the drifting "ghost ship" and climbed on board before finding the body and picture albums, garments and tins of food strewn everywhere.

Paperwork on board known him, however the reason for death is unknown.

The mast of the boat was broken, however it's not clear if this happened before or after his death.

One theory is he may have suffered a coronary failure.

A year before what seems to have been his last voyage, in 2008, he broke up with his spouse who used to venture with him.

However, she has since died of cancer therefore she is the only person that can shed no more light on his movements.
