A Robbery attempt did not suceed when the victim finds out that the gun is a toy gun

A St. Louis-range theft was thwarted when the proprietor of a business understood the eventual burglar was utilizing a water gun. 


KMOV-television reports that Amanuel Perkins is accused of first-degree endeavored burglary. He is imprisoned on $25,000 bond and does not yet have a lawyer. 


Police say the wrongdoing happened a week ago at Sole Survivor Cowhide store in Maplewood. Police say Perkins requested cash and the store proprietor dreaded for his life before acknowledging it was a diverse water gun, and not a genuine firearm, that was being pointed at him.

The store proprietor pushed away the weapon and advised the attacker to leave, before police landed to make the capture.

Police say Perkins let them know it was a St. Patrick's Day joke
